Geordi was mortally wounded by being run over by a car. However, only his lower half had been run over, so his lower body was crushed flat. He had been frozen on a metal platter (cookie sheet?) in such a way that the crushed part of the body was frozen onto the sheet. His blood, and lower lower internal organs which were half outside his body were all frozen to the sheet. His upper body was frozen too, but not nearly so frozen and not stuck to the sheet.

He was mewing in pain, as if to ask me to help him. My first reaction was to get his body unstuck from the cookie sheet, but every time i tried to pry his body up off of the cookie sheet, he would give blood curdling screams of agony. I felt completely helpless.
