It was a cartoon; the kind you'd see on Saturday morning where everything was in pastel colours. The dream took place in 3rd person, as if I were watching a cartoon on TV.

An English explorer was climbing mountainous badlands---a mountainous desert. The scene switched to two black panthers sunning themselves on a rock. They notice an English explorer climbing a mountain in the distance. They get up and begin to walk towards the mountain.

Scene switches.

The explorer looks over his shoulder and notices two panthers in the far distance. He isn't worried because they're so far away and they probably doesn't notice him anyway. However, he begins to pick up the pace; he's not going to wait around for them to notice him!

Scene switches.

The panthers see the explorer start to climb faster which induces them to run faster. They look hungry and mean.

Scene switches.

The explorer looks behind him and notices the pathers in a light run, heading straight towards the mountain---he's been spotted! He begins to really put muscle into the climb but still isn't worried because pathers can't climb mountains.

Scene switches.

The panthers are at the foot of the mountain now and begin clawing at it. One of them leaps up and begins to slowly but effortlessly scale the mountain. The other one follows.

Scene switches.

The explorer looks down and sees the panthers in pursuit. He breaks into an all out scramble for the top of the mountain. He is tired and sweating like crazy. He's worried that he'll get tired soon.

Scene switches.

The panthers can now smell the explorers blood which makes them howl. They watch the explorer reach the top of the mountain and disappear out of sight. They pursue faster.

Scene switches.

The explorer pulls himself over the ridge and onto the top of the mountain. It's a plateau with nowhere to hide---just a rocky open area with no cover. He realizes he's doomed.

Scene switches.

The panthers reach the top of the mountain and see the explorer looking around for a---stick? rock? They smell his fear and begin to close in on him.

I woke and my head hurt as if somebody dropped a heavy book on my head as I was asleep.
